Awesome service provided by Allen at DSG Performance. My car was out of action for over 4 months due to a transmission issue that was misdiagnosed by Audi. Audi advised that the only way to fix the car was to change the transmission and quoted me over $27,000. This gentlemen really knows his stuff. I had my vw passat dropped off at dsg performance and within a week and a half I had my car up and running again. Prior to dropping it off I had my car at another shop and was completely messed around as I had to wait 3 months just for him to say he couldn't fix it. Progressively worsening transmission shifting issues including false neutrals, lurch on downshift and finally lack of ability to take the car out of park. Allen was the obvious choice after a bit of research and getting an astronomical quote from the stealership. Communication was prompt and helpful. Our Golf 6 GTI had DSG issues, clunky shifting and not engaging reverse properly. I found these guys after months of back and forth with various other mechanics who were seemingly unable to even articulate what they thought the problem was, let alone fix it. They seemed to have actually zero technical understanding of DSG. It was really a huge relief to find these guys in clayton. They took my car over the weekend and found the problem, fixed by thursday, and then called me a week later to ask how it was running. Honeslty Ive never gotten a call from a mechanic to check if we are happy with what they did. I appreciate it, thanks. I highly recommend Allen if youre having DSG issues. Pretty sure he has a Phd in DSG gearboxes lol, he seems to know everything about them. Don't bother taking it to some regular mechanic, itll probably just be a dead end. They dont seem to have any technical knowledge about DSG. Thank you again Allen,
